The stunning beauty of the Similan Islands with the crystal clear turquoise blue waters that have attracted divers, snorkelers and travelers alike is a must see for all nature lovers for a good reason. There are schools of fish from shallow water to deep depths giving you the best opportunity to both snorkel, scuba dive and even offer you a chance to do challenging deep technical dives.
Beyond the crystal clear waters of the Similan Islands with hundreds of different species of reef fish, turtles, manta rays and whale sharks, more than 200 different kinds of corals from colorful soft coral, huge gorgonian sea fans, to huge boulder corals are surrounding Similan and Surin Islands.
Similan Islands (Similan means 9 in Malay) is a group of 9 tropical islands in The Andaman Sea. Jacques Cousteau was here and ranked them amongst one of 10 best places to go diving in the world. In 1992 Thailand declared The Similans a National Marine Park. In 1998 Koh Tachai and Richelieu Rock from the Surin Islands were added to the Similan Islands Marine Park, so it now contains even more Islands! So more white sandy tropical beaches with crystal clear tropical blue waters and visibility up to 40 or even 50 meters for you to explore. |

 When you still want more ? Khaolak Scuba Adventures offers day trip local diving (wreck diving) near the Resort town of Khao Lak. 3 Different wrecks can be visited with our speedboat the Flying Manta l. One deep wreck, The Sea Chart, for technical divers or divers with deep experience, and 2 more shallow wrecks: Boonsung and Premchai wrecks where all certified divers can swim amongst schools of trevally and barracudas looking for a snack amongst the inhabitants of these wrecks.
In just a half day Khaolak Scuba Adventures can take you out for two wreck dives and you can see that these wrecks are turning into artificial reefs with soft and hard corals. When you return from your local wreck dives you still have time to go and see the local life or go up on the rain forest hills of Khao Lak and watch the sun set over the Andaman Sea!
At Khaolak Scuba Adventures you are not only at the closest point to Similan and Surin Islands but you are also very close to one of the greatest National Parks of Thailand: Khao Sok. Around Khao Lak you find stunning virgin nature with waterfalls and a lake so huge that you can sleep far away from everything.
